Pirate Day
On Friday November 27th all the children in Hartland Primary school took part in a Pirate Day to celebrate our work on the theme of water which we have studied during the term. The children and staff came to school dressed as Pirates and took part in four pirate activities which culminated in an afternoon of activities as a whole school. We made Pirate cakes and designed Pirate sails, we made Pirate patches and Pirate hats. We painted Pirate pictures and these were judged and points were awarded to our houses. We all learnt pieces of a pirate dance which we put together for a final performance at the end of the day and all learnt a Pirate song. We had a parade of the best pirate costumes and the best 6 were awarded house points. We played Pirate pass the parcel and had a Pirate picnic in the hall. Everyone had a great day and the dance was excellent.
