'There is no lift to success. You have to take the stairs.'
Welcome back for your final term at Hartland Primary School! We hope you had a lovely Easter and managed to squeeze in a bit of SATs revision too!
In a few weeks you will all be sitting your SATs; we expect you to come in fresh and ready to learn every day, in order to give yourself the best chance of achieving your full potential. Keep up all your hard-work and I have no doubt you will all do brilliantly.
Our topic this term is 'The World Around Us', chosen for its range of potential across the curriculum. Through this topic we will look British Values, Geography, PSHE, History and R.E. themes and hope to use this topic to prepare you all for your transition to secondary school.
We expect all homework to be brought in on time, all letters to be returned by the necessary date and for you to read daily. Homework will be sent out on a Friday and must be returned by the following Thursday.
SATs club will be on a Tuesday (until 4.15pm) and all Year 6s are strong encouraged to attend. In previous years we have had 100% attendance from Year 6 pupils.
P.E. will continue to be on Tuesdays and Forest School on Fridays until half term; school P.E. kit needs to be in school at all times. For the last four weeks of term, you will all be swimming on a Thursday afternoon so all swimwear needs to be brought in for that day.
We believe everyone of you can continue to make great progress and this requires your continued dedication and focus. Good luck and enjoy your last term in Primary School!
